MAD Books is an independent children’s book publishing company based in Brooklyn, NY, founded by author, educator, and literacy advocate Malcolm Anthony Dill. Through his beloved character Marvin, Malcolm creates engaging, relatable stories for children ages 5–10 that help young readers navigate life’s “firsts” with confidence—whether it’s the first day of school, the first pet, or beyond. MAD Books isn’t just about stories—it’s about experiences. In addition to publishing, Malcolm conducts author visits and custom literacy events that bring the books to life through interactive read-alouds, storytelling workshops, and student publishing opportunities.
