K2S Productions is a musical clearinghouse of sorts. We are a company that will help make your search for hiring the right live entertainment easy, reliable, and professional. And most of all, we are reasonably priced, and can create a personalized package to fit your musical needs AND your financial budget. K2S Productions is a consortium of some of Chicago's best and brightest musicians. But we're not just your average musicians. We are a group dedicated to providing you, the client, with a positive and memorable musical experience, tailor-made to accommodate any type of function, whether it is corporate, private, or institutional. Oftentimes clients have to navigate a disjointed local music scene, trust word of mouth referrals, or go to several different sources to find the right band, and/or the right DJ to provide the right sound . By offering a consolidated, professional alternative to the dubious hit and miss process of hiring live entertainment, K2S Productions provides a service that takes the hassle out of hiring great live entertainment. Found er and CEO Kenery Kent Smith, form erly of the band Detour JazFunk, has over 20 years of real world experience as a professional bassist , writer and producer, along with a BA in Music Business Management from Columbia College. He knows the problems that can be inherent in event planning, from both the view point of the artist being hired to provide entertainment, and the client doing the hiring. In forming K2S Productions, Kenery's goal was to create an avenue for musicians who aretruly dedicatedtotheircraft, towork moreconsistently with discerning clientele that respect the performer's contribution to the success of their event . And as a client looking for live entertainment for your special event or venue, you shouldn't have to deal with grumpy, bitter musicians with attitudes, or those who may have poor business acumen.
