HealHouston was founded with the homeless and less fortunate in mind. After taking notice of the damage caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, we discovered the vast need for social services in the Houston community. We hit the ground running with 50 handmade sandwiches, giving hearts with a will to assist, and helping hands to hand deliver some much needed human decency. In April 2020 the unemployment rate in Houston, TX spiked to 14.3% with this information in tow we decided to revamp and broaden our resources to tailor to the decline of the job market. With the help of countless volunteers, community partnerships, and generous donations we have been able to amplify our provided services. With the guidance of our current partners we have added custom heat press apparel, web design, freelance business branding services, made to order pastry delivery, and consulting. These service not only come at an affordable price but also directly help to tackle regional poverty each week. Furthermore, we have successfully been able to assist over 400 members of the greater Houston homeless and less fortunate community bi-weekly. We have also been able to assist 10 fostered youth and 16 financially stricken single mothers.
